The next one

The time has come to get another dog to keep Ricky company. No, I'm not getting another puppy just yet, I'm going to get an older dog. Heidi is a year older than Ricky, and she is coming to live with Ricky & myself, probably in a few months time.  Here she is pictured with her latest litter of pups.  She had 4 boys and 3 girls, and they were born on 28 April 2011.

Much as I'd love another puppy, I don't think I'm ready to subject myself to another one just yet.  After all, Ricky is still a puppy at heart ... and I'm still waiting for his 'brain' to kick in!

New game

The boy truly is a freak.  Because he has so much energy, Dad created a new game with Ricky to burn off some of the excess.  Tie a toy to a long rope and then stand in one spot and try to keep it out of Ricky's reach.  Dad re-created the game so that I could see it on a recent visit.  Watch the video to see what happens.

I said he was a freak :)  Oh, and it does wear a little bit of energy off.
